Hi,
Although there are not many people on this forum talking about this, it may be worth adding a new main topic for the HL-LHC. (See https://home.cern/topics/high-luminosity-lhc.)
Now the first steps are being taken, there is a lot of stuff going on there.
This would give room to discuss for example:

This would give room to discuss for example:
- Upgrades to the experiments
- Crab cavities: how they work, what they do, and why this is relevant
- Linac4 (I am still wondering what is the advantage of H- ions)
- Upgrades to the other accelerators in the chain
- Dump block upgrades
- The new 11T magnets being installed near the experiments to save space
- New 100 kA feed lines (that's a record!) for ATLAS and CMS
- New collimators
- Machine learning for track identification (TrackML)
