Presentation for the Grid for UK Particle Physics

Found this Power Point presentation on the LHC commissioning - presentations page that gives a nice recap of the status of the LHC to this point (Sept 2011) and a look ahead.

They may try a run at 0.8M Beta* and 4 TEV / beam and push for 10 fB-1 in 2012.

Talking of LHC status reports, next week there is an LHCC open session which starts with an LHC status report by someone familiar

Nice report and well may the LHC team be pleased with themselves and the machine
10/fb for next year still seems a tall order, but I suppose possible with 1.5/fb, 2/fb, 3/fb, 4/fb for the 4 periods. It's astonishing the way they've tamed the beast over the past year and I wouldn't put it past them finding a way to get 15 - 20/fb.
