A day at the LHC (movie)

Post by oxodoes » Mon Apr 26, 2010 5:37 pm

Ever wondered what a day at the LHC would look like when compressed into 4 minutes??
I did and created this:http://home.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/~mrongen/movie.html

I hope u like it.

PS: I have just started programming a software that gives voice alerts similar to those in the video. Stay tuned for more.

Looks like good educational material for new CERN recruits!

That was amazing...

AWESOME job...

ABSOLUTELY that would be cool for each major event...

I will put it in the announcement thing at the top of the page between the "The Portal" and "The Forum"...

BUT sometimes we have no idea when new milestones are gonna be hit... Like we just had 1E11 single bunch injections..

Thx Xymox. I will soon get a fanless PC and will then record CERN activity 24/7. In the meantime a simple script that saves the Vistar every couple of seconds is all u need to make s.th. like this yourself.

I just set up a machine to record LHC activity (LHC1, event displays) 24/7. If u want another summary movie of a milestone just write me a short PM.
