LHC portal

Does anyone know of any videos of accelerator collisions as they happen?

I remember watching a video about Gell-Mann called Strange beauty, and there was a fragment which showed collisions taking place in an accelerator, giving rise to a localised bright spark, and accompanying loud noise.

and most likely the flashes in there are either real photographic flashes from taking snapshots of particle trails in bubble chamber, or cherenkov radiation which is just a byproduct of collisions.

In LHC collisions are taking place in vacuum (-> no noise) and in a metal pipe (-> no visible light). And the radiation would probably destroy any normal camera very quickly.

Thanks, I didn't think it was the same clip I had in mind but after a little searching, indeed it is. Do you know the name of this particular accelerator?
