LHC portal

Hello,

I'm a math & physics student from Belgium and I'm very fond of high energy physics (at my level of difficulty, i.e. almost zero of course... but not for long!).

It's very exciting to be able to follow the LHC operations live; I can't wait to see the first results (like everybody else I guess... But it could last for some time!).

I think CERN has a rule that their staff can't participate in chat and forum stuff. So while we may have our suspicions, we shouldn't really even ask anyone. Sort of like the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy in the US military.

There are many. CERN is like any other company in that regard and while it does not have problems sharing both its successes and failures with us, it still has to go the official way.
