Hi everyone, just joined out of interest in Cern and its research projects. Not studied Physics since 60's so don't know that I'll be contributing much. I've been working commercially in IT for decades and my forte is probably databases.

I have my own personal collider, he's a Deerhound named Ben who charges around at breakneck speed and collides into you when he thinks you're not looking. He finds it most amusing.

The old "big dog hits you about knee-high from the back" routine? Got some experience with that with a certain Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever (the GR I knew in my youth, the Lab is about 2.5 now). I personally find it even more amusing when the dog does this with a piece of a tree (especially the Lab loves to carry around bits of tree that are too big to still qualify as a "branch").
