All these years checking on the weekly meetings (until they got firewalled) and reading public accessible design and install and fault docs, and updates as they came out, and checking the Vistars status, and I hadn't noticed a reference to this forum - doh!
Thanx to 'ducwon' over on the lhc reddit for pointing the way.
I really enjoy the technical side and the largesse of the LHC. A vintage physics degree has helped (sort of) appreciate the theoretical side of the the papers coming out, although my interest is much more in the problems and solutions related to all the hardware and power electronics.
Ciao, Tim

Hi Tim,
Welcome to our little group. Sounds like you have much the same interests as I do. While I find the physics fascinating (if a little mind boggling), I'm more interested in the awesome machine itself.

Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted with large ones either by Albert Einstein.
