Hi,

I´m really fascinated about LHC achivements and I´m convinced that will change my son´s life, but at his moment, I´m interested on how LHC was imagined, designed and comissioned as a MEGA-PROJECT from the Project Management point of view. LHC is the biggest european illusion made real and I guess there is a awesome work done there by the side of project managers.

Please, does anybody know how to start learning about this?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Jezus,

There's a history page on the CERN website:

Really great! Thanks so much!

But actually, I feel like a phisician looking for higgs´s boson when I look for the presence of a real project management for LHC mega-project! Where are this people leading the whole project and how did they make it possible? Dark matter!

Continue accelerating particles: could I ask you for any other people/site/place/email..., please?

Thank you in advance! Kind regards!

This book -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Large-Hadron-Co ... 43980401X/

is awesome, although its rather expensive. It goes into a lot of detail about how the machine was built and how it works. It all predates that actual running of the machine but I found it an amazing read. Each chapter is written by people associated with that aspect of the machine and it's edited by the chief designer.
