Hi all,
I'm a retired Software/Electrical engineer who resides
in Arnold, MD (approx. 8 mi North of Annapolis).
I've Just (i.e. Yesterday) become a T4T & LHC LHC@Home contributor
& have a problem (Is this the right place?).

Hi psmanfred,
evenso this is no official LHC supportforum I am still sure you will find otherusers here who already LHC LHC@Home contributors and might help you with your problems.
Anyways, welcome in the LHC community.

Personally I'd recommend you to try the project's message boards first (T4T and LHC@Home are different projects led by different people). Maybe you'll find your problem already discussed and solved there. And if not, you can always ask directly the people responsible for maintaining the application.

Thanks for responding Kasuha & Chirwi.
The problem is with the role of the Oracle VM VirtualBox. It crashed. However the BOINC manager
indicates that processing of tasks is continuing as before. The linux CLI display generated by the VirtualBox is missing... is it necessary for the expected successful completion of work? If the VirtualBox is important for the processing of tasks, how do I go about reintroducing the VirtuaBox feature without having to eliminate the current configuration & starting anew.
