This forum is brand new and so is the web site. I have been following the LHC for 9 years . I started updating my friends on it while it was still in its design stage 8 years ago. The email list grew and it became obvious it needed a bigger format as we approached the actual science phase of the LHC and so I created the web site and this forum.
The LHC portal on the web site is designed to make navigating the vast jungle of CERN's web easier to use and to get the important links in one place. The focus on the LHC Portal is live machine data. What is it doing right now.
I need moderators, send me a message if you wish to moderate a forum.

You can add yourself to the group to receive these alerts and discussions. This was the original list I used in keeping everyone up to date on happenings at CERN.

You can choose different style/looks for this forum. This is the Black Pearl Style. Go to User Control Panel, Board Preferences, And choose a "board style.
The ProSilver and Pro_ubuntu Styles are really good with widescreen monitors. These do not just change the colors of the forum, but change the entire layout. You can change Styles by There are MANY Styles to choose from that make the forum look completely different.
