about 30pb which equals abot 2 trillion collisions.
you can check the atlas website link and it gives you the total collisions atlas has recorded.

Re: 2011 Events Discussion
This is a good summary of what has been going on so far at the LHC and the current plan for the weeks ahead. It also give a nod to LHC protal and Pcatom!

Re: 2011 Events Discussion
Does any one know why they are going to stop the intensity increase to run at 1.3Tev for a few weeks?

Re: 2011 Events Discussion
I noticed that the squeez to 1.5 meters isonly in Atlas and CMS i know Alice is useing differnt settings but why is the squeez in Lhcb only 3 meters? have they not gotten to it yet, or is 3m its maximum value?

why dont they need as high luminosity for ion collisions as they do for proton collisisons? aslo what is considered a good luminosity for ion colliosons?

Re: What to ask the LHC team about its operations or displays
the 1-1-1 stands for number of colliding bunches. when they run later in the week for physics you should see numbers near 300. also they corespond to the different experaments but i am not sure in what order. for example 150-5-300 could mean 150 colliding bunches in atlas 5 for alice abd 300 for cms...

Re: Current Events Discussion
they are going to try and brake into the 1e10 32-1 luminosity range this week. this was the ultimate goal they set out for this year, and since they still have the rest of october left for physics there is a good chance they will have a higher luminosty than that!
