So I see. I haven't managed to find out exactly what a bunch train is - though I can make a good guess - can anybody give me a shortish description?

And 48 bunch operations too ... very impressive steady progress.

Hi,

as they are planning to test "bunch train operation (1 train of 4 bunches, each separated by 150 ns)", i think they are just going to put the bunches in buckets separated by 150ns (i.e. moving the bunches closer together).

Please correct me, if I should be wrong!

Best regards

Expected 12 steps for 48 bunches, but saw 14!

Looks like a number of them are of different sizes.

Does anyone know when they're going to use 10A/s ramp rate for regular operations? Since the successful test of last week end I haven't seen anything...

New record inst. Luminosity >6 (ub.s)^-1 using 48 bunch beams.

Bornerdogge I would assume so as anything to speed up recovery times is a good thing.
