Re: When is your Birthday?
Sept 18, 1941 and will update my avitar picture once I get a good one at the next Ren Faire (shades of D.C.).
I do enjoy when alternate theories are presented; remember when I got my physics degree it was 1964 and quarks were not yet discovered. When they were first postulated they were defined as: "The dreams that stuff is made of". Minds were very closed back then as to how particle physics should be; all many of them wanted to do was to more precisely measure the particle we knew because electrons, protons, and neutrons wre the lowest building blocks.
At the university our 21 inch Cyclotron and our 21 MeV three stage Van de Graff was a big deal.
Sorry for the rambling but new theories allow me to "cogitate"; it is what us old "codgers" do best ...

LarryS.....
I remember when physics was a closed book, a dead science.....except for a couple of little unimportant things.......which unravelled the whole edifice.
and I loved it. Still do.
I would HATE it if they find the Higgs. coz I love the music made by theories crashing down....
