The Computer Science Thread

Post by TwoPointOh » Sat Feb 20, 2010 5:06 pm

Okay, so anyone who's read my threads probably knows my thing is computer science. I dunno how many of you are CS-based, but I thought "why not start a thread about it?". So I did.

So, kernels, networks, AI, what's your thing? Talk our collective ears off about computastic tasty bits!

I just remembered I was going to use the phrase "tickles your fancy" in the above post. You may mentally insert it at the appropriate point.

I'm still new to computer science, but games, AI, and robots are what interest me.

My ears have already fallen off from listening to Bob regale me with hours and hours of C# and it's trusty companion, Visual Express. The funeral was last night. The new pair should be here anytime.

CS is certainly an interest of mine, even if it's not what I study (I study physics)

Mostly my CS interests lie in networks, cryptography and poking bits of code to see what happens. From an IT point of view, I make nearly equal use of Windows and Linux machines.

Even my diploma is for tecnical physics a main interest of mine is also CS, I like mainly the low levels, where it is touching numbers and electronics and I also like to play with small embedded-linux-systems no matter if they are a NAS, a sat reciever, a router or a multimediasystem. (also my avatar shows some of thees)
