This of course assumes that missing energy is detected when the LHC (hopefully) creates micro black holes and that parallel universes / hidden extra dimensions are found.
If the above is proves true then I would have thought that to test for the 'many worlds' theory in which there are n number of parallel universes each one having a separate relaity from our own; each one a little different and the test is quite simple -
Work through the data collected from the detectors when there are no beams and look for extra energy.
Assuming of course that in one of the 'many worlds' another LHC is operating the same experiments and their 'missing energy' turns up as 'extra energy' in ours.
