I only hope this translates to just electrical damage and not physical magnet damage. Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Current page is here, you need a External login to access.

https://ab-dep-op-elogbook.web.cern.ch/ ... Id=1025284

There is a thread in this forum that covers how to get the login.

More news and it sounds upbeat;

03:51 The incident provoked a beam dump which was clean. XPOC is OK and IPOC as well.

XPOC: External Post-Operation Checks
IPOC: Internal Post-Operation Checks

Well the Cyro status board is all green again so it looks like it was not a major event (thank goodness!) It's late here in the states so I am signing off until morning, should know by then the final resolve. :)

Got the answer sooner then expected, from p1

"An AUG triggered in point 7 due to bad contact. Recovering LHC from the power cut. No beam before 9h00"

Anyone know what an "AUG" is? (it's not on the posted list yet)

So the news is good!!!! :clap:

AUG = French 'd'arret d'urgence general' or in plain English: kill switch, electrical stop
These are the inviting red buttons one can find all over CERN

Fire? There is never a moment of silence in the LHC.
