Anyway I believe after setting a new world record at 2.36 TeV they will now focus on ramping up the intensity rather than the energy.

They're currently only using 4 bunches per beam. I believe 2,808 bunches is their target.

There have been lots of collisions you can watch live at LHCb IF the beams are running...

To my surprise today I woke up with ongoing stable collisions at a beam intensity of approximately 4e+10. The fill is now completing 4 hours and I've been glued to the LHCb experiment live display.

-1.17 TeV BEFORE stable beam: need to make a programmed dump of each beam with the 'physics' filling pattern. If time permits we should also make the asynch dump test at 1.17 TeV, in case of changes in the orbit and optics (if these are both very similar to 450 GeV then this is maybe not needed).
-Injection matching studies, 2-4 h. Lower priority, but if some time spare would like to take some data on injection matching and emittance blowup, to at least start using the techniques we'll have to have working next year.
-Intermediate energy dumps (2 points between 450 and 1.2 TeV)
-Ramp test
-Orbit correction at end of ramp!
-MPS and beam dumping system at 1.1 TeV (end of ramp?)
-Protection devices and collimation system setup at 1.1 TeV (end of ramp?)
Miscilleneous work:
-Finish up Polarity checks
-Finish up Kick response measurements
-orbit feedback commissioning
-nQPS quench threshold test with beam (< 2e9)

Of course collisions can occur anytime there are beams.

Are they still continuing with their normal schedule or are they trying to find out the source of the technical difficulties first?

Not sure if it's been done before but I am looking right now at what seems to be 16x16 with intensity ramped up through 1e+11 (currently at ~1.4e+11) on both beams, at 450 GeV. Highest Intensity I have ever seen, in any case.

Edit: yup, they did it. final intensity was about 1.8e+11 on both beams according to Page 1.
