At least four bunches per beam again. (maybe they can change the intensity scale on the op display at some point.) collisions now?

I am on it, but with another client than their java tool (gaim).

I am using irc.efnet.ch server, which is a server in geneva.

Well it was a eventful night. Literally... Lots of collisions events..

CMS and ALICE had collisions.. Poor ATLAS waited for many hours and at this moment im not sure they had any..

We did start and use a IRC channel. I will be adding that to the portal right away for live event coverage...

IRC efnet.cs.hut.fi #LHC

It was already created by Oz and they adopted us right away and seemed rightly happy about finding our site and tools.. heheheheh...

I am WORE OUT... My fingers are tired...Its been quite a day...

Look like more collisions tomorrow...

They did reach 1.48e10 which I think is a record.. They did do collisions..

LHC_Insider,,,,, you owe me,,, they did do 4X4 collisions :)

I have updated the links with the newly discovered LIVE VIDEO FEED from ATLAS Control room... This requires a External Account.. But is just AWESOME...

Ive got to go do more stuff on the site and figure out how to add IRC live chat to the portal....

We had a GREAT time in the live chat... It was a GREAT fun time for all...

I have pics and I need to do a page for this event...

So I am going to wait to do a big web page on the events cuz they are not done yet...

Pretty amazing,,, they are holding a set of beams for maybe 2 hours with a 4 bunch arrangement... Very nice... Stuff is happening at a crazy rate as I type this...

Keep eyes on the CMS page... They are doing a crazy good job... Not to mention great pics and 3D graphics

*grmbl*
Of course LHC has all sorts of problems and hiccups when I am around (yesterday during the day) and when I'm off to sleep it suddenly started working A-OK...

Ok, but seriously now.
I've seen from various status reports and logs that there has been some good stuff last night (first time with 4 bunches, more collisions), so here goes: Congrats to all those hard working people at CERN on yet another step toward commissioning. Keep up the good work!

And of course congrats as well to those of the LHC forum crew who were on line at the time and who managed to ... ahem... detect the event so to speak!
