Just finished. Here's the slides.
8 TeV in 2012 most likely.

You could always read the slides :P

First line of the last set of slides - "Note that Chamonix is a technical meeting. The decisions are taken by the CERN management, after hearing the recommendations of Chamonix, and the CERN Machine Advisory Committee. "

They are recommending that the LHC run at 4 TeV in 2012, that decision needs to be ratified by CERN Management, it probably will be but it's not 100% hence the 'most likely'

Interestingly they are recommending the machine *not* be run at 7 TeV after LS1.

And it's official, the LHC will run at 4TeV / beam for a total energy of 8TeV in 2012 as announced by the CERN Machine Advisory Committee today.

http://press.web.cern.ch/press/PressRel ... 1.12E.html

" The data target for 2012 is 15 inverse femtobarns for ATLAS and CMS, three times higher than in 2011. Bunch spacing in the LHC will remain at 50 nanoseconds. "

Looking forward to an interesting year ahead :D loving the fact they are going to 8TeV

A bit of Spring is in the air and nice "Green Things" are beginning to sprout ...
