LHC exhibition in Germany

Post by Anitusar » Sat Dec 12, 2009 9:44 pm

If you are in Germany, look out for the exhibition "Die Weltmaschine". It presents spare pieces from the experiments and you can get in direct contact with physisits working at the LHC experiments.

It is currently in Heidelberg until the 20th of December. In January it will be in Frankfurt.

OoOoooo

COOL !

I would enjoy owning a piece of a collider.. That would be cool. Maybe one day I will be able to buy a piece of the LHC once its disassembled.

I am not sure, but I think I already have seen this expo last year In Berlin in the unfinished undergroundstation between Reichstag and Kanzleramt, but I did not have onough time to watch closely, because I had to catch my train back to Stuttgart.

Yes, its based on the exhibition done in Berlin last year. It has been transformed into a mobile one, so that it can been shown around the country. By the way, the Berlin exhibition had about 30.000 visitors :!:
