Ion beam schedule

Hello everyone!

Does anybody know more about the schedule for commissioning ion beams? I think i read that they will start commissioning in September and run for the ALICE experiment later in autumn, but i wonder if there was a specific date announced when they try collisions for the first time, and if there will be life coverage/webcasts for that event. Furthermore i wonder, will these collisions take place ONLY in the ALICE experiment, and the others be switched off, or will they be some kind of minor observers like ALICE is right now?

Cheers vecctor

I believe this might be the document you want:
http://lhc-commissioning.web.cern.ch/lh ... e_v1.4.pdf

As I see it, that schedule says that there will be a 3 day technical stop, starting Monday, where they will be running Ion Beams as far as SPS (but not into the LHC), with Ion beam setup/commisioning from November 1st and Ion beam physics from November 18th.
