Proton Smaller Than Thought—May Rewrite Laws of Physics

Post by chelle » Thu Nov 25, 2010 7:08 pm

I just stumbled upon this rather old article (July 7, 2010):
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... m-physics/
The proton finding won't impact most people's daily lives. But if it proves correct, it means something fundamental is wrong in particle physics.
hi hi

ps: I don't think it's already discussed over here, if so miss moderator you may chuck it out.

ok, btw it's maybe because of this that the other freaks their theories and calculations aren't in full effect yet.

Personally I rather believe there's something wrong with proton-muon coupling than with proton itself. We know protons long enough and all calculations made e.g. about LHC beam parameters proved themselves to be surprisingly accurate when LHC became reality.
