Exactly how fast is 3.5TeV? 3.5TeV is 5.6E-7 Joules. As E = 1/2mv^2, m being mass and v being velocity: v = sqrt(2*E*m) Assuming m is 2000kg for a car: v = sqrt(5.6E-7 * 2000 * 2) Which comes out as 2.4E-5 m/s, or 5.3E-5 mph. I'd happily get in a car doing that, if I didn't feel like going anywhere...

Ah, but looks can be deceiving … on “Page 1” the “Stable Beam” flags always remained red and set to “false.” This means that they never met the standard for “LHC Stable Beams.” Stable Beams is a manually set flag (or at least I remember it being as such), indicating to the experiments that the beam...

Cryo issues in 56 caused an emergency dump around 0830. Oddly, 34 is now showing up red (although as it's now access, this may be intentional) with 56 as green. Another plan out the window I guess
