There are also shelters for 2012 in Antarctica. In 2012 Arctic Ocean will be at the up side of a bottom picture; Antarctica will be on the bottom side; Equator will coincide with the central ring of SN 1987a. http://darkenergy.narod.ru/sn1987.jpg That central ring looks pretty good to me, much bett...

Are we all getting excited? or am i the only one :wtf:  Nope. Just got back from the shop - am I still in time? :romance-hearteyes: BTW - for me LHC timing is just as inconvenient as sports timing for the Olympics in Vancouver (all the good stuff happens in the middle of the night - N. Ameri...

Re: Can black holes grow?
Even from the point of view of the planet thrown at the black hole, it will pass the point of space where it detected event horizon before, but I believe it will never actually pass the event horizon which will keep shrinking and running from it due to its changing frame of reference. 1. Not accord...

Re: My frakking jaw.
One portion of sympathy, coming right up! Just call if you want another serving. It's on the house today, it being Friday and all. I might have some sort of idea of what you're going through, though what I experienced probably wasn't the real thing. When I was about 18 or so my jaw would occasionall...

I have read that some cooling solutions developed for the satellite were working so surprisingly well that they were applied in LHC as well.

Re: Predicting lottery number spread using neural networks
Although, a group of MIT students, made a blackjack killing, and did get kicked out of Las Vegas. Ok, but Blackjack isn't a lottery. It's more than a game of random numbers that win or don't. And if players cooperate at a Blackjack table, there probably are ways to break the bank (BTW: not saying t...

Re: False Vacuum
Not sure either but it seems to me (too) that "observation" does not refer to a satellite or some other observatory but to the fact that simple observation of certain (quantum)phenomena influences them.

Re: Predicting lottery number spread using neural networks
I'd say that the chance of winning something in a random lottery is simply governed by (a) the number of tickets in the lottery, and (b) the number of tickets owned. The numbers on the tickets haven't got anything to with the chance to win, as long as we can exclude unusual factors such as (a) multi...

No, that's a new one to me. What you write about it reads like a perfect object for conspiracy theories.

Re: Nostradamus comes on board
Yay, one more step toward the GUC (Grand Unified Conspiracy Theory) has now been taken. I think we still need the connection between LHC and ... - UFOs (preferably including solid evidence regarding Area 51) - HAARP - chemtrails - Face on Mars. Nice to have but optional: - Connection between LHC and...
