Re: So how’s everyone holding up because of the Coronavirus

The scientist I referred to at the end, wasn't a scientist from the 'incrowd' the minister followed a scientist with a political background. That's why I wrote second last paragraph 'top' scientists. I think you put your finger on the problem here. Politicians like to pick scientists who say the so...

Re: So how’s everyone holding up because of the Coronavirus

Interesting that on the one hand you say the problem is that politicians have been slavishly listening to scientists and then end up giving an example of scientists not being listened to by politicians. I disagree with you heavily. Most of this has been caused by politicians not listening to scienti...

Re: So how’s everyone holding up because of the Coronavirus

I'm doing pretty good. Able to work from home pretty well, only downers are having to cancel a holiday and worse, not having a cricket season.

Beyond that, a lifetime of being anti-social is finally paying off ! I no longer have to avoid people, they avoid me !

Re: FCC

It is childish how you’re trying to claim that science is good and great, but when misused it is no longer science. That’s BS and you know it. Well, you manage to be patronising, insulting and twist my words in one post. Where did I say science is good and great ? Where did I say when it ...

Re: FCC

What people do in the name of science isn't the same as science.
What people do in the name of religion isn't the same as religion.
People abuse labels and causes in their own interests, the problem is people, not the thing they are misusing.

Re: Hi from Tim

Hi Tim,

Welcome to our little group. Sounds like you have much the same interests as I do. While I find the physics fascinating (if a little mind boggling), I'm more interested in the awesome machine itself.
