Re: The Ion Collider Frontier

2.76 is the LHC rate. at design capacity, but still this is only of academic interest, dont believe there is anything wrong with the energy level vs saftey.

still only someone with a better understanding can help you here.

worth noting that paper is what 10 years old too?

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

in the interests of pure learning and to help put minds at ease i've pm'd some online dudes regarding some of this stuff, as a thought occurd to me last night that, in actual fact there may have already been mbh creation (according to the fringes of the thoeries) possible in other well oiled collide...

Re: How good is 7 TeV

thats strange, im sure i saw your thread too, im certain stephen answered it. Anyhow, 7 TeV is an excellent starting point for new discoveries, it is within a cetain area for the higgs (if it exists at this level or atall) and also in the range for furthering our understanding of the standard model,...

Re: The Energy Frontier

well allan, I think really he's saying its a really dumb idea to spend loads of money on something you cant show is safe and or is subject to massive budget requirements. (SSC take note). I just think personally its a silly idea to build something based on old school thinking, without upto date know...

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

you have no time, apart from the 18~ months you had since discovering this "realisation" (by your own admittance). 18 months of going around comparing things without writing a paper, 18 months of spamming message boards about nazi's death and destruction, attacking people personally because they don...

Re: The Energy Frontier

For me I view the LHC as a discovery machine thats safe, as far as our past research on colliders and cosmic ray work can show us. So the cost factor of $10 billion or what ever is a small price to pay really. The governments involved can each afford to give $400 million here or there to see what we...
