The LHC, the only man made object physically bigger than Elon Musk's ego.
That’s relatively still small, mine is as big as the Universe! How big is yours, that of a patato?

Hi Charms,

Happy NY to you too! :D

Who says that this isn’t already next time, at some point a civilization needs to know when to stop digging, to reach the next level.

Maybe this is something the James Webb Space Telescope will uncover, exploding/exploded planets.

Don't Look up (Spoiler alert!)

Have you guy's seen the new movie with all the stars, Don't Look Up . It's about a professor predicting that the world will be destroyed, sounds familiar? It had some great images about the destruction of our dear planet Earth! Just so you know what it will look like when the LHC messes up...

Re: So how’s everyone holding up because of the Coronavirus

Germany's fundamental ability to test has been overstated, usually by politicians looking for an excuse as to why Germany is doing better. It probably has more to do with the country being led by a woman with a scientific background. ... our health minister is a woman and she had our whole safety s...

Re: So how’s everyone holding up because of the Coronavirus

The scientist I referred to at the end, wasn't a scientist from the 'incrowd' the minister followed a scientist with a political background. That's why I wrote second last paragraph 'top' scientists. I think you put your finger on the problem here. Politicians like to pick scientists who say the so...

Re: So how’s everyone holding up because of the Coronavirus

Interesting that on the one hand you say the problem is that politicians have been slavishly listening to scientists and then end up giving an example of scientists not being listened to by politicians. The scientist I referred to at the end, wasn't a scientist from the 'incrowd' the minister follo...
