Re: 2018 Operation
Yes, there's been quite a few dumps from 16L2 lately. I'm not worried about it though. The operators have made some changes to the cycle since those dumps with 2556 bunches. First thing is they've improved the beam injection through transfer-line steering, and perhaps small changes were made to the ...

Re: 2018 Operation
Page1 is currently stuck, and so are many of the other pages. Notice the timestamp. Dashboard is currently still working and displays the correct duration for stable beams. The operators will fix the other pages when they realise they're stuck. It can happen from time-to-time.

Re: 2018 Operation
Thanks for keeping us informed about 16L2. Looks like they didn't get all the crap out of the beam screen during warm-up, but just enough to make the use of orbit bumps feasible again. Up to ~2100 bunches now with no signs of slowing :) The data haul for this year is going to be insane. Hopefully a ...

Re: 2018 Operation
Thanks for the lumi plots. Those would be the most accurate, right? Aside from the official atlas and cms estimates after van der meer calibration.

Re: 2017 Operation
For the ATS optics MD they were able to use the telescopic part of the squeeze to get beta* to 25 cm. The optics was measured and corrected at 35 and 30 cm with crossing and separation bumps on. You might be surprised to learn they've actually pushed beta* down to 15 cm using this optics a few years...

Re: Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?
So I guess you have a primary CERN account?

Re: 2017 Operation
Commissioning is going well. Beam loss monitor latency checks, for machine protection and loss maps, have been done. Setup of the Abort Gap Keeper (AGK) for the injection kickers at point 8. Injection kicker interlock tests done including checking the Abort Gap Keeper and Beam Energy Tracking System...

Re: Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?
I've just remembered when the morning meetings section became unavailable. It was just before machine checkout during the powering tests. On the same day they also made the LBOC meetings restricted as well as another section called LHC-MC Wiki. All can be found at http://lhc-beam-operation-committee...

Re: Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?
LOLIt is probably because they are going to start doing some shady things.
Double LOLYou should contact your local government who funds CERN to ask why they are making these meetings privy, because that whasn't in the deal.

Re: Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?
I don't know how to check which right you need to access the morning meeting category (all it tells me is "access is restricted but you can see it"), but you don't have to be member of lhcb-general to see it. Looks like all that's needed is a primary CERN account. Goodbye morning meetings, it was n...

Re: 2017 Operation
Looks like they got all the optics corrections done down to 40cm. From memory of the MD they did last year, the ATS (Achromatic Telescopic Squeeze) optics they're using now is much easier to correct than the nominal optics. I don't have access to the morning meetings anymore so I can't see what beta...

Re: Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?
I think we'll get an answer if someone asks BE-OP. The chairman seems the best bet.
